The End Of All Competition

‘Sibling Rivalries’ and ‘Corporate Warfare’ both stem from the same instinct… competition! How would life be if we were to start looking at all our competitors as prospective collaborators?

How would my family life be if I started collaborating with my wife and children rather than trying to control them? What if I start thinking of ways I can partner with people or businesses around me rather than competing with them? What if I started to approach all relationships in my life from a place of concern, rather than from a place of conflict? Even if these thoughts seem preposterous, what is the harm in thinking about them? Or maybe trying them out with my family and colleagues for a day or a week or a month?

Let us not be vague, so how is it that I can start collaborating… today? If I could use one word to describe my plan of action, it would be ‘inclusion’. Let me start including my family in the decisions that affect them. Let me start including my colleagues and employees in the decisions that affect them. Let me think of ways in which I can include my competitors in my journey to success. It is a bountiful world and there is plenty for everyone. The only thing that seems to be in short supply is generosity.
